IN THIS BODY is a thrilling, no-holds-barred rock musical about the human search for love in the face of the never-ending struggle between thinking and feeling. Will is an ex-musician who left behind his life as a singer-songwriter for law school. After landing a job as paralegal, he meets, and swiftly falls in love with Alex- another ex-musician with a strikingly similar path to his, but when his love goes unrequited, he falls into a stark depression.
We experience Will’s story through four other characters- four essential components of his own anatomy and psyche…oh, and did we mention they’re also a rock band?! The Heart (drums), the Nervous System (violin), the Ego (acoustic guitar), and the Reproductive System (electric guitar) embark on an epic quest to regain Will’s happiness, culminating in a biological battle between head and heart that changes him forever. Our Band of anatomical heroes provides the musical numbers along the way in this part-musical part-rock concert, playing the songs and creating the music that Will may have left behind, but his body remembers. Think Pixar’s “Inside Out” meets “Once.”
Employing a diverse cast of talented actor-musicians, IN THIS BODY takes audiences on a rollicking musical adventure that explores the pulse behind the human experience and the life-changing power of self-discovery that lies within all of us.
CRUEL INTENTIONS: THE MUSICAL is a jukebox musical that features a cavalcade of 90s hits from artists such as Boyz II Men, Christina Aguilera, *NSYNC, REM, and Britney Spears. Zach is the Music Supervisor, Orchestrator, and Arranger of the show, which ran Off-Broadway at Le Poisson Rouge and completed its 1st National Tour.
Part cabaret, part rock concert, and part investigative journalism, “What The Fuck Is Going On?" brings the world of contemporary journalism to life as we follow a young woman’s journey to the heart of the Russia Investigation. Along the way, familiar figures including Rachel Maddow, Robert Mueller, James Comey, and Sally Yates help put the pieces together by telling their stories. Featuring an original score by Zach Spound, it's a timely, cathartic, one-of-a-kind musical experience that celebrates the necessity and badass-ery of America's journalists.
